What model does Nuovid use? How does it compare to Sora / Veo / Runway?+
Nuovid is powered by Doubao Seedance 2.0, ByteDance's next-gen video model — the same model behind viral AI video clips you've seen on Chinese social media. Quality is on par with Sora 2 and Veo 3 at roughly 30-50% lower cost. Generation time is industry-standard (3-5 min for short clips, 10-20 min for 15s 1080p — physics, not us).
How long does generation take?+
Depends on duration × resolution. We measure real generation times and show estimates in the generator before you submit:

  • · 15s · 720p → ~9-12 min
  • · 5s · 1080p → ~6-8 min
  • · 15s · 1080p → ~15-20 min
You don't need to wait — close the tab. We email you when ready and the video stays in your history forever.
Can I use the videos commercially?+
Yes, on Pro and Studio plans. Free and Basic are personal use (social posts, learning, fun). All paid tiers include a commercial use license — no extra royalty per video.
Where are my videos stored? How long?+
Permanently. Every video is uploaded to our global CDN (cdn.nuovid.com) and stays there for the life of your account. No 24-hour expiry like some competitors. You can also download the MP4 file directly.
How does the credit system work?+
Credits scale with cost. 1 credit = roughly $3 of compute. Formula:
  • · 5s · 720p = 1 credit
  • · 15s · 720p = 3 credits
  • · 5s · 1080p = 3 credits
  • · 15s · 1080p = 8 credits
Each plan's “X videos / month” assumes 5s · 720p. Heavier configs burn more, lighter configs go further. The Generate button shows the exact cost before you click.
Can I cancel anytime?+
Yes — cancel via the link in your Creem subscription email or contact hello@nuovid.com. You keep access (and unused credits) until the end of the paid period. No refund for unused days, but no surprise charges either.
What payment methods do you accept?+
Credit card (Visa / Mastercard / Amex / Discover), PayPal, and US bank account via our payment provider Creem. International cards welcome — billing is in USD but most banks auto-convert at standard rates.
What if the AI generates something I'm not happy with?+
AI video is non-deterministic — even great prompts sometimes return weird results. We don't auto-refund credits for “quality dissatisfaction” because that's subjective. But: if a generation fails technically (provider error, expired URL), credits are refunded automatically.
Is there an API?+
Not yet — public API is on the Studio roadmap. If you have a specific use case, email hello@nuovid.com and we'll prioritize.
Who built Nuovid? Why should I trust you?+
Solo indie project. Built in public over a few weeks — the entire roadmap, commit history, and cost data are visible to the team. No VC pressure, no bait-and-switch pricing. If we shut down, all your videos remain downloadable from the CDN for at least 30 days (you'll get email notice).
